The challenge is on... GVFD spouses and significant others officially challenge the Firemen to a weight loss challenge. Each group has 13 weeks to slough off the weight in order to receive the bragging rights. Area neighbors and businesses are asked to sponsor one or both of the teams with the proceeds going to the purchase of a tough book for the rescue unit.

Come celebrate 100 years of Fire and Rescue service of the Gothenburg Fire Department at Open House September 19, 2009.  Brugers, Brauts and Refreshments 100 cents each.  5pm until 12 midnight.  Come help us celebrate.
